What is the difference between rooflights and skylights?

Generally, rooflights are profiled trapezoidal or sinusoidal sheets that match metal or fibre cement roofing sheets. They are installed ‘in-plane’. Skylights is a name usually associated with glazed, framed ‘Velux’ type products generally installed on pitched roofs such as domestic dwellings. However, it is not uncommon for people to use different terminology for the same thing.

What is CE Marking?

‘CE’ is the abbreviation of French phrase “Conformité Européene” which literally means ‘European Conformity’. All construction products that are covered by a harmonised European Standard must be manufactured and assessed against the Standard and carry the CE mark to be sold in Europe. This is covered by the Declaration of Performance (DoP) for that product.
