Despite the government announcing that the lockdown period is extended for another 3 weeks, they are rightly keen to keep the economy going. We are encouraged to hear that some of our contractor customers are looking to get back on site, whilst adopting new social distancing measures. This can’t realistically happen if the material suppliers remain closed.
We’ve considered how we can safely assist by re-opening our production facilities; I’m pleased to say, that from Wednesday 22nd April 2020, we will have the capability to run a limited operation that will be able to manufacture GRP products, including made-to-order rooflights. We see this as a gradual process that will be dictated by customer demand and our ability to keep our workforce safe. This may affect lead times but I’m sure we can work with customers to provide a great service in the spirit of ‘we’re all in this together’.
