The prestigious Bellway Homes Orient Place development in Four Oaks, West Midlands features an ultra-insulated (0.12W/m2K U value) Dryseal (RibTec) GRP roof covering across this two bedroomed apartment development.
Dryseal was introduced to Bellway Homes by the local Approved Dryseal Contractor. Advisory discussions regarding perimeter detailing, including the internal gutter interface with the mansard style roofs, plus performance and environmental credentials highlighted Dryseal as an ideal product for this project. An NBS specification was agreed and the contract signed.
Work was completed by Dryseal approved contractor Reed Roofing (part of Avonside Group Services housing division Avonside Roofing) in early 2013 and is covered by an independent insurance backed 20 year guarantee. The impressive apartments, situated near to the centre of popular Four Oaks (a 20 minute commute from central Birmingham) are now selling well.
Hambleside Danelaw’s Dryseal system can be used in conjunction with ‘grey’ water harvesting. It has potable water certification and also benefits from exceptionally low encapsulated energy and low carbon production techniques, contributing to the award of ISO 14001 certification for Hambleside Danelaw’s manufacturing processes.
Providing good aesthetic characteristics, exceptional whole life cost effectiveness and the benefits of Competent Roofer certified contractors, Dryseal is a long established and unique component based GRP sheet system, proving ever more popular with new build and commercial clients. This particular project features the Rib Tec membrane finish for a neater appearance. The Dryseal system is ideal for flat roofing, low pitched roofing or vertical details and is manufactured in the UK.
Another welcome collaboration with a prominent national house-builder has led to the happy conclusion of a popular development using Dryseal GRP roofing.
