The first product sold within the UK which was manufactured at Dalcross was known as Tri-Com, a combined Soffit, fascia and gutter assembly moulded in pre-coloured GRP. Even in these early days the Group was demonstrating its prowess for innovation.
Scotland and the Environment Hambleside Danelaw is a founding partner in the Business Waste in the North of Scotland initiative which is backed by the Scottish Environmental Protection Executive (SEPA) Scottish Natural Heritage, Forward Scotland, Scottish Enterprise and the local authorities and is a programme specifically designed to reduce business and energy waste.
Building Regulations Whilst the majority of the building products manufactured by the Group are suitable for use throughout the UK and Ireland, the group is aware that there are different building practices applying to buildings in Scotland and have taken this into account in designing several of its products.

The profiled translucent sheeting is available in a range of weights, and is a non-fragile material complying with the requirements of NARM (National Association of Rooflight Manufacturers). There has been a Hambleside Danelaw factory at Dalcross, Inverness, since 1977. The Group set up its first production unit there with assistance from the then Highlands and Islands Development Board later known as the Highlands and Islands Enterprise. In the early days production was by hand lay up process, the first process line being installed during 1979/80.
