Rooflights and Cladding - An insulated GRP rooflight featuring a lighting control system
Hambleside Danelaw is launching a lighting control system uniquely contained within its Insulator in-plane factory assembled rooflight range. The installation of the lighting control in-plane rooflight panels is carried out by the roofing contractor in the traditional way, without the need for special fixings or electrical work. Each rooflight has an embedded sensor unit and transmitter, and the electrical components are maintenance free and require no switching. Each unit continually monitors the light level in its part of the building. The light measurements are relayed by wireless signal to the control panel for artificial lighting. Zoning is possible and light settings are adjustable. The benefits in controlling artificial light when natural light increases are far too important to ignore. An important additional benefit of this system is that the dimming significantly extends the operating life of the artificial lighting components.
This system also utilises the unqiue properties of the transparent light enhancing honeycomb insulating core which is a feature of the Insulator rooflight range. Renowned for its ability to diffuse and spread natural light it creates a very pleasant working environment with no harsh shadows or glare.
