GRP Manufacturing Process
Approximately 1000 different profiles are used by the Group in producing its overall product range and new profiles are frequently introduced. This is not a drawn out process and tooling costs are not expensive and in most cases we will absorb that cost. If you have a particular requirement for a glass fibre reinforced product, or indeed think that a product idea might be suited to our production process then please complete the e mail response below and we will get back to you with an answer as to whether the concept is suitable for our production line and indications as to the cost, on an ex works basis. We can provide pre-production samples for approval prior to any full production run. Profile Enquiry
To help with providing the measurements required to access the feasibility of manufacturing any particular GRP (FRP) profile, please supply the details, in millimetres, of your profile as illustrated above.

The GRP production facility at Dalcross is one of the most modern plants in Europe. The manufacturing process involves the laying down of a liquid polyester resin onto a continually carrier surface. The resin is then formed into a profile and is cut and trimmed to produce a finished product. The raw materials used by the Group may all be recycled and the Group operates to very strict environmental guidelines under the watching eye of SEPA, the Scottish Environmental Protection Association.
