Hambleside Danelaw was delighted to attend this year’s East of Scotland branch dinner which was held at the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa in Edinburgh. Five of the Hambleside Danelaw Sales Team attended this prestigious industry event and contributed to the raising in excess of £20,000 for the Lighthouse charity.

Ian Weakford, Sales Director; Chris Dalgarno, Divisional Director; Paul Hanratty, Business Development Manager; Mike Lemmon, Area Manager -Scotland and Andy Fell, Dryseal Manager attended the evening which included entertainment from Scottish Drummers and pipers, and a raffle to raise money for the charity.

This year’s guest speakers and hosts were Scottish and English rugby legends, George “Doddie” Weir and John Bentley. This made for a fun evening supporting a serious cause. Over 400 Building Industry guests enjoyed the evening meeting old friends, colleagues, business partners and lighthouse club members.

The Charity has Lighthouse Clubs throughout the British Isles and overseas. These Clubs act as local fundraising organisations and are managed by volunteers. The dedicated team of volunteers arrange events to gain sponsorship and raise funds for the charity. They all have a connection with the construction industry and believe strongly in having fun while networking and supporting a great cause.

Lighthouse Charity has been delivering Charitable Welfare and Support to the Construction Community since 1956. The charity has distributed over £11 million since its creation to construction workers and their families. To join the Club and help others in our Industry, call 0845 609 1956 or emailinfo@LighthouseClub.org. For more information on the charity, visit http://www.lighthouseclub.org.
